The Holy Family University Institute for Business and Biomedical Sciences HOBISH, located in Simbock, Yaounde, has graduated over 100 students in Bachelor and HND degree in its fourth batch. The students, parents and the entire HOBISH family converged on the Yaounde conference  center last Saturday, 19 July, in a grand style to witness another year of success and to jubilate over it.

The emotion-packed ceremony reached its crescendo when the graduates marched into the hall, dressed in their robes, wearing broad smiles on their faces, and made a parade to the rhythm of song. The graduates consisted of 35 in Nursing and 8 in Midwifery for the HND degree who studied for 3 years. The graduating Bachelor degree holders on the other hand consist of 55 in Nursing, 4 in Medical Laboratory and 10 in Midwifery who were trained for a period of 4years.

The students are said to have been resilient and have worked tirelessly throughout their training despite the challenges they faced. Intellectual curiosity and commitment to make a positive impact in the community were the aptitude they held to make their stay in HOBISH a success. Today, they have attained the milestone they have long wished for and so with a hand raised to the sky and the other on the chest, they made a vow to the HOBISH Family.

The laureates pledged to pass their lives in purity and to practise the profession faithfully. They promised to abstain from whatever is mischievous and not to take or intentionally administer any harmful drugs, to do all their power to maintain and elevate the standards of the profession.

The proprietor, Awa Emmanuel Khan who has stood by the laureates from the beginning as the founder and as a father, was full of satisfaction for graduating another batch of professionals from his school HOBISH. He expressed his satisfaction at the work done by the graduates and gave them advice as they embarked on another journey. Khan reiterated that the graduates should bear in mind that they have chosen a noble profession whose code of conduct must be respected thoroughly.

Talking to the press, he said, “I want to thank God almighty for granting safe journey. We recorded 100% success. What I can assure you about our graduates is they are truly square pegs in square holes. I do not doubt their performance in the job market. So many hospitals have already passed their commands because they know the quality of medical personnel we send out every year.”

Apart from the 100% success rate, HOBISH produced National overall best students in Midwifery for the academic year 2021/2022 and 2022/2023. As it is usually said, use your knowledge, skills and passion to make a positive difference in the lives of others and that shall be real success. The graduates are said to be ready to start a professional life and keep the colours of HOBISH right up shining.

Meanwhile the institution and other students are optimistic to celebrate HOBISH, as masters degree in all fields and an addition of business and management, will go operational as from the next academic year. They equally look forward to inaugurating their new building found in Simbock where the learning process shall be more free and relaxed.
