The Kumba Regional Hospital Annexe has sent out a distress call for persons who have abandoned the corpses of their loved ones in the mortuary of that public institution to come collect them, or else the hospital would be forced to bury them.
According to the Director of that health institution, Dr Ngang Paul Enongene, six corpses have been abandoned in that health institution. The medic warned that if these corpses are not collected by their loved ones before the specified period of time, the institution would have to bury them. We gathered that some of said abandoned corpses were brought to the hospital mortuary in the year, 2022, 2023, and 2024.
While it is alleged that some of these corpses were not taken to the hospital mortuary by family members, it is uncertain why the corpses brought there by family members have been abandoned.
