Some personalities in Meme Division, Southwest Region of Cameroon, drawn from the public and private sector, have been decorated with “G2G Courageous Men Prize Award and Medal”.
The exercise that took place at the conference Hall of the Kumba 1 Council on Friday 3rd August 2024, was carried out by His Excellency Chief Thomas Ayuk Fotang, Goodwill Ambassador working under the UN- CISRI Cameroon.
In his speech, His Excellency Chief Thomas Fotang stated that UN- CISRI is a permanent observatory mission in Cameroon, while Grace 2 Grace is an humanitarian organization
“We are humble and elated to be here to bestow some distinguished accolades to great servants of this nation who have a heart of gold” , he said, adding that these persons fall among a few Cameroonians and other nationals who are to be honoured — for a job well done in the nation.
He also stated that “this event is also created as an avenue to acquire funds to assist 500 IDPS, orphans, widows and some physically challenged persons. The organization has been doing this for the past 12 years and counting, we have been informed
On the first of September, the organization, we have also been informed, is going to carry out ten mini projects supporting and assisting IDPs , and some orphans to go back to school, thanks to some of the celebrants.
He further explained that G2G is in Kumba to celebrate movers and shakers, who are not just an example to Nation Building , ” but have decided to kill the brain drain syndrome of the western world and are an example to emulate.”
Chief Thomas Fotang appealed to the population to appreciate and hail the celebrants, who unlike others want to know what the nation has done for them. ” Our prime interest is to put these agents of change on the scale of preference celebrating them while they are still alive,” he said. He further called on the public to emulate these celebrants “whose untold story is jam-packed with inspiration for Cameroonians and Africans, and whose narrative is simply unprecedented
The celebrants, who were later decorated , awarded a certificate of Region and a trophy include: The mayor of Mbonge, His Royal Highness Chief Daniel Mata Mokambe; the Commissioner of the Kumba Central Police Station, Mbole Charles Armand; the mayor of Kumba 11, Chief Mbatchu Jacob Kay; the mayor of Kumba 111, Dr Mukwelle Nguba Isaac; the mayor of Konye, Dr Musima George Lobe ; the Kumba main prison administrator Ebot Leonel Nyenti; the Director of the Kumba Regional Hospital annex, Dr Enongene Paul Ngang; Prophet Oboh Rene of the Paradise Baptist Church; the Meme Divisional Delegate of Taxes Alex Mbiao ; the manager of HYSACAM , Enow Hannibal; the former Meme Delegate of Secondary Education Aghim Abunaw; the secretary General of the Kumba 111Council Beryl Adama; the head of the Kumba Moslem Community Chief Alilu Mohammed; Ebot Theodore President of Peace Builder Cameroon.
