The 2024 Edition of the “Clean Cities Contest” organised by the Ministry of Housing and Urban Development, MINDHU, has been launched in Ntam, Mambanda, Kumba III Subdivision, Meme Division, Southwest Region of Cameroon.
The launch which took place on Thursday 1st August 2024, was chaired by the Second Assistant Senior Divisional Officer ( SASDO) of Meme Njonje Hernia, accompanied by the Delegate of Housing and Urban Development.
The Clean Cities Contest is an annual event organised by MINDHU to reward communities that have put in place best urban beautification practices.
Last year the contest was won the Garoua Council. The Tiko Council in the South West Region, emerged in fourth position.
The Kumba III launch was attended by the Kumba City mayor Gregory Ntemeyork Mewanu, the Divisional Officers of Kumba 1, Kumba 11, Kumba 11 1, and the Mayors of the Kumba 1, Kumba 11 and Kumba 111 Subdivisions, as well as quarterheads
