Emmanuel Nganou Djoumessi, Minister of Public Works, has been crowned “Most productive proactive Minister “.
The distinction was announced during the 7th edition of the Victoria International Media Merit Award (VIIMMA), which was held on Friday, August 16, 2024 at the LEWAT Hotel in Douala. The ceremony was organized by the Cameroon Association of Media Professionals (CAMP). It rewards the best media, as well as social and political actors who have positively distinguished themselves through their actions.
The Minister of Public Works, Emmanuel Nganou won the award for the most productive and proactive Government Member in the non-media category. This distinction was presented by the representative of the Governor of the Littoral Region. The award, according to the organizers, magnifies the dynamic visible through its multiple concrete actions on the ground, which are always well publicized. The Minister of Public Works was distinguished as the model of governance, in terms of efficiency in the regular monitoring of infrastructure projects underway throughout the national territory, with performances recorded in excess of the objectives set during the year 2023. The same is true of the perfect animation of the digital platforms of the Ministry of Public Works which sufficiently inform the public opinion on the various achievements to improve the living conditions of the populations on a daily basis.
The award comes just a day after the minister undertook one his most proactive actions following an embankment rupture on the Bonepoupa-Yabassi road due to heavy rainfall.
