The upper house of the Cameroonian parliament is in mourning. The death of Senator Mbofung Carl Moses has been reported.
Afrique Reporters + that broke the news, said the Cameroonian senator Mbofung Carl Moses passed away on Friday, September 13, 2024, due to illness in Yaoundé, the political capital of Cameroon.
Confirming the sad news on its Facebook page, the Senate announced
“The Senate of Cameroon deeply regrets to announce the death of Mr. Mbofung Carl Moses, senator from the North-West region, on Friday, September 13, 2024, in Yaoundé following an illness” .
“In this painful circumstance, the senators and staff of the Upper House extend their deepest condolences to the bereaved family,” added the communication service of Cameroon’s second institution.
The academic was a senator from the North-West region. Mbofung Carl Moses was also a graduate of the Department of Food Science and Nutrition at ENSAI, University of Ngaoundéré in Cameroon. His areas of interest included food science and nutrition.
It should be noted that he was the author of several articles, including a research paper on the impact of different drying methods on the physicochemical composition of three varieties of onion (Allium cepa L.).
“In addition to his interest in nutrition, Mbofung Carl Moses had proven expertise in the field of food sciences, particularly food technology, food security, and food microbiology,” states Afrique Reporters +.
