The Cameroon Banana-Plantain Sector  has confirmed to the national and international public that two Gala Matches between the Former Cameroonian Stars and the Brazilian Football Legends led by RONALDINHO will indeed take place on December 7, 2024, at Japoma Stadium in Douala and on December 14, 2024, at Olembé Stadium in Yaoundé . It said stadiums have already been secured and paid for by the Cameroon Banana-Plantain Sector to ONIES.

These two Cameroon-Brazil matches are part of the third edition of the International Banana-Plantain Festival, held under the High Patronage of the President of the Republic of Cameroon, His Excellency Paul BIYA; alongside economic activities related to Banana-Plantain, trade fairs, B2B meetings, giant music concerts, tourist activities, and field activations with the major Brazilian football stars, mascots of the event.

Meanwhile, reacting to Press Release No. 47/FECAFOOT/SG/SGA/DMC/DCOM/10-2024 signed on October 25, 2024, by Mr. Blaise Djonang, Secretary General of FECAFOOT, which declines the responsibility of the football governing body regarding the organization of the matches, The Cameroon Banana-Plantain Sector confirms that FECAFOOT

“is not associated in any way with the said organization.”

In a statement signed by The Director of Communication and Sovereignty Activities of the FBPC, Siméon Ava, FECAFOOT is hailed for clarifying this situation.

“The Cameroon Banana-Plantain Sector, a Priority Growth Sector of SND30, therefore invites all former Indomitable Lions to unite to defeat Brazil in Yaoundé and Douala; as Banana-Plantain is a unifying fruit, consumed by 28 million Cameroonians”, he stated.

“The National President of the Cameroon Banana-Plantain Sector, the young captain of agricultural industries Samuel Tony OBAM BIKOUÉ, assures the Cameroonian football legends that the FBPC will itself pay all match bonuses to the former Indomitable Lions, as well as to the great Brazilian football stars led by RONALDINHO”, noted the press statement.

Tickets for access to Japoma and Olembé stadiums, already secured and paid for by the Cameroon Banana-Plantain Sector to ONIES, are on sale at Premier BET La Royale des Jeux du Cameroun outlets, and widely advertised through a spot on CRTV; as well as at the points of sale indicated in a public statement by the Governor of the Littoral Region, Samuel Dieudonné IVAHA DIBOUA.
