Close to a year after losing her job as Director for the Promotion of the Disabled and the Elderly at the Ministry of Social Affairs, Mrs Ambe Angelica Bih Mundi has been appointed a board member of the newly created Maroua Handicapped Centre, CRPH Maroua.
The appointment contained in a decree signed President Paul Biya last Friday is seen as reward for the services rendered by her in social affairs, including mastery of communication on some pertinent activities.
Although she was appointed as the Second Inspector at MINAS after 7 years as Director for the Promotion of the Disabled and the Elderly, she was still the expert recommended by Minister Pauline Irene Nguene to communicate on behalf of that department.
In recognition of keeping the flag of MINAS flying, she was recommended by her boss for appointment as a board member of CRPH Maroua, representing her ministry.
Other members of board are Mohammadou Youssoufa, representative of the Presidency of the Republic; Dayang Wanba David, representative of the PM’s Office; Amadou Roufaye, representative of the Ministry of Finance; Hassan Ben Bechir, representative of the Ministry of Public Health; Mahamat Sale, representative of the Ministry of Women’s Affairs and Promotion of the Family (MINPROFF); Amine Atribinga, representative of the Ministry of Economy; Astadjoda Patricia, representative of local handicapped organizations; and Hamadou Hamidou, Mayor of the Council hosting the Centre.
Reacting to her appointment, a humble Angelica Bih Mundi said it was the hand of God after having been raised to the post of Second Inspector, considered as a ‘garage’. She paid glowing tribute to Minister Pauline Irene Nguene for renewing her confidence in her. The minister is believed to have proposed her for the job based on her competence.
