It was a sea of people who answered present at the St Francis of Assisi Parish in Ntswehi and the residence of the Tanjongs in Achi-Bambili to bid farewell to the late Mama Anzenui Anna Tanjong, mother of the Mayor of Tubah.
From General Managers of state corporations, past and present Members of Parliament, members of the Regional Assembly, Mayors, community leaders, the biography of Mama Anna Tanjong was read as someone who was a beacon of strength, resilience and love.
Born in 1928, the late mother of eight, four boys and four girls, died at the age of 96 on the 10th November 2024 at the Bamenda Regional Hospital in the company of loved ones and family members.

The celebrants of the day described Mama Tanjong as one who never missed church programs even at an advanced age.
Speaking about his deceased mother, the Mayor of Tubah, Tanjong Martin said; “You taught me that life is not measured by what we have but by how we touch the lives of others. The legacy you left behind is nothing short of extraordinary.
“Despite the challenges life threw at you, you faced them with Grace and dignity, always putting your family first,” Mayor Tanjong said.
To her daughter Veronica, “Mama you thought us how to love and share unconditionally. Sharing your last moments with you was inspiring and your legacy lives on.” Veronica said.

Three youths arrested in Tiko for firing fire crackers, toy guns in the air.
Three youths have been arrested by the military in Tiko, for allegedly firing firecrackers, toy guns in the air.
The three, whose identities we have been unable to obtain, were arrested by the security along the Tiko Douala neighborhood in the wee hours of Tuesday 24th breaking 25th 2o24 for allegedly firing firecrackers,or toy guns in the air. The three, who were celebrating Christmas were whisked away and later detained by the military..
We gathered that people in the neighborhood mistook the sound of the firecrackers and toy guns as an attack by the Separatists.
We have not been able to establish why the three youths were arrested and what they would be charged for.
But we have learnt the military is likely to term them Ambazonian terrorists, given the area they were arrested had once been the stronghold of separatists.
We have also been informed several arrests were made in several parts of Tiko for same reason.
