The AGOVC Farce: How empty propaganda erodes credibility and insults Ambazonian Intelligence

Washington D.C – In the latest chapter of their misguided theatrics, a supposed lobbyist for the Ambazonia Governing Council (AGOVC), under the leadership of Dr. Cho Ayaba, has made a mockery of diplomacy, intelligence, and the Ambazonian cause. A video surfaced featuring this so-called lobbyist touting a supposed “official invitation” for AGOVC to attend U.S. President Donald Trump’s inauguration, presenting it as a groundbreaking achievement for Ambazonia. Upon scrutiny, however, this claim crumbles under the weight of its own emptiness, exposing the AGOVC’s penchant for fabricating victories and insulting the intelligence of Ambazonians.

    Understanding U.S Inaugural Invitation Process

Let’s begin with facts. The U.S. presidential inauguration is organized by the Joint Congressional Committee on Inaugural Ceremonies (JCCIC), a nonpartisan body responsible for coordinating the event. Tickets—better described as free passes—are distributed through members of Congress to their constituents. Anyone with a connection to a congressional office can request these tickets. They are generic, often bearing no names, and certainly do not signify a special invitation from the U.S. government.

The “invitation” brandished by AGOVC Lobbyist in the video is nothing more than one of these publicly accessible tickets. It bears no name, no affiliation, and no unique distinction tying it to AGOVC or its leadership. Yet, the lobbyist, seemingly unaware of or deliberately ignoring this well-known fact, describes it as an extraordinary breakthrough. To suggest that the organizers, political players, or U.S. government officials specially selected AGOVC is not only false but laughable.

This type of propaganda not only insults the intelligence of Ambazonians but also damages the credibility of the movement. It reveals AGOVC’s leadership as either dangerously uninformed or shamelessly willing to peddle outright falsehoods for relevance.

While AGOVC beats the drum over a generic ticket, it’s worth noting that Dr. Samuel IkomeSako’s IG team and other Ambazonian leaders, including Chris Anu, were also present in Washington during Trump’s inauguration. Chris Anu, in particular, had mobilized Ambazonians for a rally supporting Trump, but because of the bad weather, no one could stay out in the open. However, unlike AGOVC, they saw no need to manufacture noise over attending a public event.

The actions of this lobbyist do a disservice not only to AGOVC but to the entire Ambazonian cause. When hiring lobbyists or engaging in advocacy, Ambazonians must prioritize competence, ethics, and a focus on tangible results

The stark contrast is telling. Where others focus on genuine mobilization and engagement, AGOVC clings to theatrics, hoping to extract relevance from a piece of paper anyone could obtain through a congressman’s office.

For an organization claiming to be invited by the U.S. government, AGOVC conveniently ignores a critical detail: Dr. Cho Ayaba, their leader, is banned from entering the United States. This reality alone undermines their claims of legitimacy and credibility. How can an administration that has barred him from its soil extend a hand of invitation? The absurdity deepens when recalling Ayaba’s inability to attend even the recent Canadian conference due to a similar ban.

The lobbyist in question compounds the embarrassment. A professional lobbyist is expected to act with integrity, understanding, and respect for their client’s intelligence. Yet, this individual has chosen to peddle a hollow narrative, betraying either amateurish incompetence or a cynical belief that Ambazonians lack the sophistication to see through the deceit.

Such actions do a disservice not only to AGOVC but to the entire Ambazonian cause. They signal to the international community that AGOVC values cheap propaganda over substantive progress, weakening the movement’s standing and wasting valuable opportunities for real diplomacy.

Ambazonians must demand better from those who claim to represent them. Propaganda is indeed part of any conflict, but it must be strategic, credible, and purposeful. AGOVC’s antics fail to meet any of these criteria. Instead, they reflect desperation and a lack of respect for the people they purport to serve.

When hiring lobbyists or engaging in advocacy, Ambazonians must prioritize competence, ethics, and a focus on tangible results. The AGOVC’s hollow boasts and amateur theatrics serve only to embarrass the movement and alienate potential allies.

The AGOVC’s attempt to spin a public ticket into a diplomatic milestone is a stark reminder of the dangers of empty propaganda. It undermines the integrity of the Ambazonian struggle and insults the intelligence of its people. The movement’s success depends on genuine leadership, strategic vision, and a commitment to truth. It’s time to reject the circus of AGOVC and focus on advancing the cause with dignity and credibility.
