The Tinto Council, Upper Bayang Sub Division, Manyu Division, South West Region of Cameroon, has adopted the sum of 822,350,000 frs for the year 2024.
This amount was adopted on the occasion of the Administrative Management and Stores Accounts session of that Council that took place recently at the council session in the presence of the Councilors and Manyu Senior Divisional Officer, Awounfac Yves Bertrand.
Addressing the session, the Mayor of Tinto, Sessekou Etchu Joseph, stated that of the sum of 822,350,000 budgeted in 2024, the council recovered the sum of 614, 968, 594, giving a realization rate of 74. 78%
According to the mayor, despite the challenges the Tinto Council recorded the following achievements: full payment of staff salaries up to the Month of March 2025, the rehabilitation of the Etoko- Egbemog road, improvement of Bachuo-Akagbe water supply , construction of a nursery School in Mbinjong, the purchase of medical equipment for the Eyangatemako health centre and the purchase of equipment for the Tinto sawmill.
Mayor Sessekou Etchu Joseph Eyong further stated that the Tinto Council would soon acquire a Lister generator that would also serve the mortuary that would go operational in June of this year.
He also reminded the councilors of the need to sensitize the population on the need for the development efforts of the Council, and for them to participate fully in the upcoming presidential elections in October.
The 2024 Administrative Management and Stores Accounts session of the Tinto Council was later adopted as presented.
