Idrissou Bouba, a professor of physical education and sports trained at the INJS of Yaoundé, was found dead at Mecca where he went for the Hajj. He was 54. The cause of the death of this Coordinator of the Roumdé Adjia Omnisports Stadium in Garoua is not yet known.
According to an audio testimony, Idrissou Bouba had successfully completed all the stages of the pilgrimage and was preparing to return to Cameroon when he collapsed during his last prayer. It was thanks to his passport found on him that he was identified. Idrissou Bouba was among the 6,000 Cameroonian Muslim pilgrims who had registered this year to perform the Hajj.
