Anglophone separarist leader, Chris Anu, has hailed the Bui Unity Warriors for for conducting cross-border raids that led to the killing of three soldiers in the line of duty in Magba, Noun Division.
According to information from the Noun gendarmerie company, they are Chief Warrant Officer Eva Albert Raymond, Sergeant Georges Patrick Yaman, both serving in the 51st Motorized Infantry Battalion, and Quartermaster Boris Poupembop serving at the headquarters of the Foumban company. The soldiers were killed in an ambush by separatists at the military checkpoint in Maloun, located between the western regions and the town of Mbonso in the Northwest.
The tragedy occurred last Wednesday, June 18, 2025, at dawn.
Sergeant Georges Yaman, one of the victims, was from the village of Mampang, in Abong Mbang Subdivision in the Eastern region.
Reacting to the killings, Chris Anu, leader of one of the Ambazonian factions, hailed the Bui Unity Warriors for holding the fort in the war of liberation against the Cameroon army. He said Bui has emerged as the heartbeat of the Anglophone struggle, just as Lebialem was formerly.
While wishing them courage, he urged the Diaspora to continue to contribute financially to the war effort so that the territory of Ambazonia can be liberated from the occupying forces.
The number of soldiers killed in the Anglophone crisis is estimated at 1,754 .
